Our Four Phases
release the negative.
Before you can even begin to bounce back, we believe you need to be positive and focused on yourself. That means ridding your life of all the negative aspects, both related and unrelated to a past relationship. You're not crazy, so stop acting like you are. Let go of the stress tied to analyzing and over-thinking everything and begin to relax. Clear your head and put your thoughts down on paper - or better yet, say what you've always wanted to say to your ex by emailing us instead at the MyEx Mailbox (email@example.com). Remove the physical and technological remains of the past relationship. Don't turn to any vices or bad influences, whether people, drugs or alcohol, or laziness. Don't rebound. Bouncing back is about having no regrets.
embrace the positive.
Now that you've removed all of the negative aspects, influences, and reminders of your past relationship and heartbreak, it's time to shift your perspective and fill those voids with positive influences. Surround yourself with the good things in your life - people, places, activities, music, and so on. Turn to family and friends for support. Reconnect. Accept invitations to go out and do fun things. Remind yourself that there are positive forces in your life and beyond. In order to bounce back, you're going to need them.
focus of you.
Make the effort now to do what you need to do to get yourself together and to a place of health and happiness - emotionally and physically. Know that negative spaces have now been filled with positive, supportive influences and activities, and everyone is behind you. Don't try to please other people at this moment - this is your time, you can be a little selfish. Update your living space, get a new haircut, find that perfect outfit. Get in shape, eat right, travel, read, spend time alone, meditate - anything that will allow you to focus inward and ensure you are ready to put your happiness first.
bounce back. move forward.
Bouncing back is really that moment in time when you realize your self-worth and have created happiness from within, not happiness based on another person's affection or approval. When you realize your heartbreak is truly in the past (and only you can realize that), you are ready to look to the future and move forward. It's finally time to get back out there - now that you have the right attitude and renewed confidence, join a church, sports team, club or gym. Get involved in your community as a volunteer. And finally, start to date again. Whatever you choose to do, reintroduce yourself to the world with a smile, as a refreshed, refocused person and take notice. See people acknowledging your newfound confidence and happiness. Watch the world become a better place for you.
